Marketplace delivery in Bicester: seller to door
How it works round here.
Bicester, Oxfordshire • Marketplace Delivery
Bicester's postcode district, OX26, wraps around the outlet shopping that draws visitors from across Oxfordshire, with Bicester Village Outlet Shopping and Bicester North station both within half a mile of the town centre.
Van & Driver is preparing to bring its Marketplace Delivery service to the town, covering the collection, delivery and lifting that come with buying larger items such as sofas and chairs, appliances, garden furniture, and bikes and gym kit from local sellers. Once live, the service will help people furnishing homes near the centre, whether they're moving something across town or bringing an item back from further afield, including nearby Kidlington and Brackley. For now, the service is not yet bookable in Bicester, so no van can be arranged and no driver assigned until local coverage is confirmed. When it does launch, customers will be able to arrange collection from a seller's address and delivery straight to their own door, with help carrying items in and out, all at a fixed price agreed before the job begins. Bicester's position, within reach of Oxford, Buckingham and Winslow, means the town is often a natural meeting point for larger secondhand items bought and sold across the area. Van & Driver's plan is to match these moves with local partner drivers as soon as coverage begins, so that people across OX26 can rely on the same straightforward, fixed-price approach already used in other towns.

Questions people ask in Bicester
How much does a marketplace delivery cost in Bicester?+
You get a fixed price before you book. It's worked out from the van size your items need, the space they take and the miles from pick-up to drop-off. The prices on this page are real examples for trips from Bicester, with today's rates.
Do I need to be at the collection?+
No. Give the seller’s address and contact in the notes; pay the seller yourself before the driver arrives.
Does a marketplace delivery include help carrying?+
Yes. The driver loads and unloads with you. For heavy or bulky items such as sofas, wardrobes and fridge freezers, choose two people when you book.
How do I book a marketplace delivery in Bicester?+
Add your items, your addresses and a day. You'll see the price straight away and can book in a few minutes. A local partner who covers Bicester takes the booking.
Do you do tip runs in Bicester?+
Yes: single items from £70, loads from £99 (Mini) to £519 (full load), and house clearances from £599. Disposal at a licensed recycling centre is included, with a waste transfer note, and there's no charge for the distance.
Can I get a van and driver today in Bicester?+
Yes, if you book by 3pm and a driver is free: the earliest arrival is the hour after next. After 3pm, the earliest is 1pm tomorrow. The price is the same any day.
Will two people come?+
When the job needs them (a sofa, a wardrobe, a fridge, or a medium load and up) two people come, and that's already in the price. We decide it from what you're moving; there's nothing to choose or pay extra for.
How far will you go from Bicester?+
Anywhere in England. A move includes the first 10 miles, then £1.80 a mile, shown in the price before you pay; over 150 miles we give you a quote instead. Tip runs have no distance charge.
Is the price fixed?+
Yes. You see the whole price before you book and that's what you pay: no hourly rate, and nothing added on the day for stairs, waiting or a heavy sofa, unless what you're moving changes.
