East Horsley at a glance
East Horsley sits right around its own railway station, with Horsley on the line just a few minutes from Effingham Junction and Bookham, and the whole village falls within the KT24 postcode district that also takes in its rural surroundings. It's a small place, home to under six thousand people, but it sits close to bigger neighbours: Great Bookham and Fetcham are a short hop away, with Cobham and Byfleet not much further, and Leatherhead within easy reach too. Anyone clearing a house, moving into a flat near the station, or shifting furniture across to Cobham will find the geography works in their favour, with recycling centres at Leatherhead, Dorking and Guildford and self-storage sites at West Byfleet and Cobbett Park all sitting within a few miles.
Van & Driver is a marketplace built around this kind of local move, matching customers with a van and driver at a fixed price for moves ranging from a single item to a full house removal, student move, or next-day tip run. We don't yet have partner drivers signed up to cover East Horsley, but the town is one we're planning to bring onto the platform soon. Once that happens, residents here will be able to book a fixed-price van and driver for trips within East Horsley itself or out to places like Great Bookham and Fetcham, Cobham and Byfleet, without having to arrange things directly with a local firm.
East Horsley had 5,843 people at the 2021 Census. Furniture and flat-pack from Wey Retail Park and The Swan Centre is a common single-item run. The council's nearest recycling centre is Leatherhead Community Recycling Centre, 4.0 miles away; a tip run with us goes to a licensed recycling centre, with the disposal in the price.
