Tip runs in Storrington: what we take
How it works round here.
Storrington, West Sussex • Tip Runs
Storrington sits at the foot of the South Downs in the RH20 postcode area, with Pulborough station around 4.8 miles off and Steyning a similar distance away to the east.
Van & Driver is getting ready to launch tip runs here, covering old furniture, garden waste, DIY and renovation rubble, and the general boxes and bags that build up after a clear-out or a house move. Once the service goes live, each booking will include loading from your home or garden, disposal at a licensed recycling centre, a waste transfer note for your records, and a fixed price agreed before anyone turns up, so there's nothing to negotiate on the day. The nearest recycling centres are over in Worthing and Littlehampton, with Shoreham a little further on, so a dedicated van run without needing to queue with a car boot has real appeal for anyone tackling a loft, garage or garden overhaul. Storrington's mix of village streets and surrounding countryside means plenty of homes generate exactly this kind of waste, from hedge trimmings to old sofas that won't fit in a normal collection. We're working on bringing local partner drivers on board so that requests from Storrington and nearby places like Steyning and Henfield can be handled properly. In the meantime, this page will be updated as soon as tip run bookings open for the area.
