We're currently preparing to bring Van & Driver to the town, covering moves such as sofas and armchairs, beds and mattresses, wardrobes and drawers, and tables and chairs. Once local partner drivers are in place, every job will include collection and delivery, blankets and straps to protect items in transit, and one or two people on hand depending on the size of the move — all at a fixed price agreed in advance.
In the meantime, we're taking note of what the area already offers, from Tonedale Self Storage on Milverton Road to Fox Self Storage over in Westpark, both useful if you need somewhere to keep items before or after a move. The recycling centre at Poole Brickworks, open Wednesday to Friday and at weekends, may also come in handy when clearing out old furniture. Wellington's position near Taunton, Cullompton and Tiverton means a future service here could support moves across this part of Somerset and into neighbouring Devon. We don't yet have drivers covering Wellington, but we're working on it, and this page will be updated as soon as the furniture delivery service is ready to launch in the town.
