Brent at a glance
Brent sits right by Wembley Stadium, with Stadium Retail Park and the London Designer Outlet both within half a mile of the centre, making the borough a genuinely busy corner of north-west London. Spread across postcode districts including NW10, HA9, HA0, NW2 and NW9, and home to over 340,000 people, Brent stretches from the streets around Wembley out towards neighbours such as Harrow, a few miles to the west. Van & Driver is preparing to launch here, bringing together van with driver and man and van services for the borough. Once live, the plan is to cover everything from house removals and furniture delivery to tip runs, next-day vans, storage moves, student removals, marketplace deliveries and commercial courier work, all at a fixed price agreed before the move starts rather than anything worked out on the day.
Brent's mix of retail parks, storage sites and hospitals such as Central Middlesex means there's a steady need for reliable local transport, whether that's a single item collected from Shopper's Plaza or a full house move heading out towards Ealing or Barnet. With permit parking common across parts of the borough and self-storage sites dotted around Neasden and Preston Road, having a driver who can navigate those practicalities matters. Van & Driver is working on bringing local partner drivers on board so that residents and businesses across Brent will soon be able to arrange a van and driver without the usual back-and-forth over pricing.
Brent had 340,611 people at the 2021 Census. The nearest hospital is Central Middlesex Hospital, 2.0 miles away. Furniture and flat-pack from Stadium Retail Park, London Designer Outlet (LDO) and Shopper's Plaza is a common single-item run. The council's nearest recycling centre is Greenford Re-use and Recycling Centre, 4.0 miles away; a tip run with us goes to a licensed recycling centre, with the disposal in the price.
