Tip runs in Richmond upon Thames: what we take
How it works round here.
Richmond upon Thames, Richmond upon Thames • Tip Runs
Strawberry Hill station sits barely a third of a mile from the centre of Richmond upon Thames, and it's this tight, leafy patchwork of TW postcodes, from TW1 through to TW12, that makes tip runs here a bit different from a straightforward drive to the recycling centre.
With Townmead Road Re-Use and Recycling Centre four miles off and the Villiers Road site over in nearby Kingston upon Thames operating on a booking system, getting garden waste, old furniture or a stack of renovation debris off your hands isn't always as simple as loading a car and turning up.
Van & Driver is getting ready to launch in Richmond upon Thames, bringing a fixed-price Tip Run service that covers loading from your home or garden, disposal at a licensed recycling centre, and a proper waste transfer note for your records. The idea is to take the hassle out of clearing old furniture, garden waste, DIY leftovers or simply boxes and bags you no longer need, without you having to work out which recycling centre will take a van or when it's open. Once live, the service will connect customers here with local partner drivers who know the area, from Strawberry Hill and Teddington through to Kingston upon Thames along the river. Keep an eye out for the launch, when booking a fixed-price van and driver for your next tip run will be straightforward.
